5 pm: Activity: Annie Leibovitz exhibition opens

5-9 pm: Art After Dark Lounge / Conversation, cocktails and music in the Atrium.

5-7 pm: Music in the Atrium. Mix tape of all the musicians Leibovitz has photographed during her career, especially those in the Norton exhibition: David Byrne, Rolling Stones, Blues Brothers, Patti Smith, L’il Kim, Lucinda Williams, Sean Combs/Puff Daddy/P-Diddy.

5:30 pm: Tour / Sylvia Plimack Mangold: Landscape and Trees

6-8 pm: Activity / Sketchbook Thursdays with Malissa Reese

6:30 pm: Tour / Annie Leibovitz

7-9 pm: Music / David Shelley and Bluestone perform original blues and rock and occasional classics often with a reggae and world beat twist.

Lyon + Lyon Catering will be featuring a couple of previews of the new fratelli Lyon lunch menu at the Norton:
Salumi Misti…a selection of cured Italian meats, Schiacciata di Cipolla…roasted onion + fontina flatbread, or Torchio alla Bolognese…pasta with a rich beef + veal tomato ragu.

What began as a monthly experiment in the summer of 2009, has become a weekly celebration of diverse cultures, performing and visual arts, great food, and socializing at the Museum. Art After Dark draws hundreds of people to the Museum for a variety of activities, tours, and culinary treats each Thursday night.
